Morocco Tour Itinerary:
- Day 1: Ouarzazate – Erg Chigaga
We depart from Ouarzazate and head to Erg Chigaga which is known for the highest sand dunes in North Africa. The desert of Erg Chigaga is about 40 km long and is a unique, multifaceted environment. In our Sahara Desert, Morocco Tour, we will have the chance to see many oases such as the oasis of Draa. We will continue our tour passing through the little Berber towns of Agdez. After visiting Kasbah Tamnougalt, we will continue our way enjoying the green oasis of Dra, and Zagora. Then we visited the Koranic library, pottery, and the underground Kasbah in Tamegroute. From Tamegroute, we stop for lunch in M’hamid El Ghizlane, then We continue off-road (54 Km) to Chigaga and then black Hamada before arriving at Erg Chigaga; the highest dunes in southern Morocco (300m high). Along the way. Dinner and stay in a Berber tent camp.
- Day 2: Erg Chigaga (Stay in Sahara)
You should wake up early enough, you will be able to see the sunrise, when the color of the dunes and the dance of shadows is breathtaking.. During your stay at the Sublime desert camp, you will have a private tent, all meals included during your stay, in the bivouac. It also includes desert activities, camel trekking, and Sandboarding at Erg Chigaga, and after dinner, we gather around the fire to sing Berber music under a sky full of stars. - Day 3: Erg Chigaga- Ouarzazate
Get up early in the morning to see the sunrise over the dunes before breakfast, and then we’ll continue on another 3-hour off-road adventure toward the desert of Morocco with varying scenery, Iriki Lake, the mountains, and fossils. The first town we’ll pass through is Foum Zguid. From here, trips Morocco we drive along paved roads via the village of Taznakht, famous for its Berber carpets and rugs, after which we continue on the road to enjoy the Mountainous and spectacular Berber villages. Then, drive to the Unesco World Heritage Site of Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, the fortified Ksar with its amazing Kasbahs. Ait Benhaddou has provided a natural location for many filmmakers. And arrive in the evening in Ouarzazate to end our experience of the Sahara desert tour.
