5/5
Morocco Tours Package Overview:

Stand on the dunes, under the limitless stars of the bright sky, and forget about everything for a time. Join us and have some fun!! New Year’s Eve in the desert.

New Year’s eve is always a special occasion to look back on what we accomplished in the past year, the beautiful moments we shared, and the hard times we have been through.

It is an opportunity to escape the real world for a while, get your head straight, and re-order your ideas, expectations, and hopes.

We offer you the opportunity to spend these intense moments with us, in the middle of nowhere, on the golden dunes of the Moroccan Sahara.

We have observed some wonderful moments, tears, laughter, welcomes, and kisses during the years that we have been arranging this event.

Morocco Tour Itinerary:

Pick up from Marrakech and drive via the superb views of the High Atlas Mountains, offering some exhilarating driving via lush valleys and traditional Berber villages, to the Unesco World Heritage site of the fortified village of Ait Benhaddou, as essentially a living museum, comprising a Ksar and has been used as the backdrop in many international movies.

After lunch, continue to Ouarzazate, Africa’s Hollywood. Before you reach it, the Dades River winds its way through a lush valley, dotted with ruined Kasbahs, on vantage points, and surrounded by the most unusual rock formations and cliffs. Overnight hotel stay, a meal, and breakfast.

After breakfast at the hotel, you start a fresh day with a driver from Boumalne Dades to follow the Todgha Gorge, a striking natural canyon cleaved into the Atlas Mountains, by the Todgha River. After lunch, the tour continues south to reach the beautiful Draa Valley with its vast palms and old villages.

You will have a stop for lunch in Zagora, the current administrative center of the area, and from where the trading caravans traveled to Tombouctou on a long trip that lasted 52 days. After that, your journey continues to the authentic village of Tamegroute with its famous library, pottery factory, and underground Kasbah.

Then continue to M’hamid, at the end of the sealed road to reach your luxury desert camp in time for sunset over the dunes. Take an evening meal and then enjoy a celestial overnight in a luxury tent with private bathrooms and hot showers in the Sahara desert.

Waking up early in the morning to take in the sunrise over the dunes before breakfast, we then travel another 90 km (off-road) over desert paths through scenery that includes Lake Iriki, mountains, and fossils before reaching in the first town of Foum Zguid.

From there, we go on asphalt roads while passing through the Taznakht village, famous for its Berber carpets and rugs. Following that, we continue driving till we arrive in Marrakech in the evening.

After a picturesque sunrise upon the stunning Erg Chigaga dunes, you will have breakfast in the luxury camp. Then, we start our day with a drive across the ancient Paris-Dakar race road. We’ll make a pit stop at Iriki dry lake.

Taznakht, the second settlement after the desert, will be the location for lunch. From here, the drive goes north along paved roads and passes, amazing rock formations to the small town of Taznakht, famous for its Berber carpets and rugs. Then, you will continue to the High Atlas where you will spend the night in a guest house.

After breakfast, we drive along the beautiful and awe-inspiring Ounila Valley, full of bends in the roads, surprises at the hues of the rock and soil, Berber villages and gardens, as well as smaller Kasbahs. Almost at the end of the Ounila River, you reach Telouet Kasbah, which belonged to the lords of the atlas, the Glaoui family.

Each addition to the building is now in ruins, exposed to the elements, having been abandoned and plundered after the last Pasha fled the country after the French left in 1956. Wait to be pleasantly surprised by the traditional interior decoration as we reach the farthest end of the Kasbah. At the end of the afternoon, having crossed the Tichka pass, we arrive in Marrakech to end our tour on New Year’s Eve In Moroccan Sahara.
